This video tells about the Jena 6 which took place at Jena High School in Jena, Louisiana, on December 4,2006. Six black boys beat up a white boy at there school because he was saying rascal comments.

Kourtney--I have heard people say since this case occurred that it was exaggerated, that the incident was blown out of proportion, etc. Have you done any follow up to this story?
Also, I think we can all agree racism is bad, but I think the argument is--what do we need to do about it? Create new laws? Let it go and figure it will sort itself out? Talk to people and make them aware of it? What should be done, if anything?
I do think it was blown out of proportion they should not of been charged as toughly as they were. It was just a fight at school they didnt have any intentions of killing him. I do think that rules should be made because there is a lot of rasicm still today. I dont think we should just let it go, its a big deal. Times have changed and the rasicm needs to stop.
I think that this is a good point. and that it's messed up. I think that just because people say a word it shouldn't turn out to fighting.
Yes alisha i do think they shouldnt have made it into a huge deal. People should learn to ignore what others say about them.
